Could we as a platform that empowers users by providing accurate transit times make transit easily accessible to people with visual and mobility impairment? This included students with cognitive disabilities and students with different levels of hearing impairments. All of the students came from families who could not afford to educate or provide healthcare needs of the children. Mathru provided both room and board to these students. My team was tasked with understanding the needs of this school. The team started with observational studies, observing classroom teaching methods and narrowed down the area for impact - students with hearing impact. Students with hearing impact in this school come from low income families who don't know how to interact or support the needs of their children. In many cases the children were left without parental interaction as they were seen as a burden. In other cases parents learn to communicate with their children through their own version of sign language, limiting it to daily needs. We started off by observing different classes with different teachers.
